-IDALGASHINNA MOUNTAIN-

Thick fog clouds flow through the green mountains, creating amazing patterns.  It was only after 10 am when we reached the Idalgashinna station on the Kandyan Railway.  The foggy city disappeared.

The sky is clear.  There is also no severe cold.  Claiming the sweetness of a climate that changes from moment to moment, the city disappears.  There are two shops in the shop.  Below the railway station was the Government Tamil School.  Adjacent are rows of residential houses.  The post office was located on a slope upwards.

From Idalgashinna Station, 1615 meters above sea level, Mount Idalgashinna rises majestically behind Ohio.  From there we have to go another kilometer and another 300 meters to our destination.

We proceeded a short distance on the concrete paved road between the stalls and reached a gravel road near the Rural Bank.  The narrow road ends near a large water tank.  There is no definite way forward.  You have to step on the rocks among the tea bushes and climb up.  The tea plantation on the left extends to the edge of the hill.  The ground is prone to sharpening because the trees are out of date.  To the right of the uphill trail is the pine forest

The whole environment is like a blurred painting.  Fluffy white clouds are rapidly invading the mountain, posing strange shapes.  The eye-popping Ohio water drop refreshes the mind.

The lower station and the city look like small fireboxes.  The Podi Menike train bound for Colombo tore through the fog and reached the stop, reminiscent of a hacker.  There are heavy avocado trees on both sides of the road.  Looking greedily at the invitation swaying to the beat of the wind, our colleague, who had been sniffing at the avocado, reluctantly had to avoid it.

Idalgashinna peak can be seen through the bushes like a green photograph.  Peering out of the clouds is the peak of Beragala.  The difficulty of the journey gradually increases, increasing the heart rate.  Due to the loosening of the stepping stones, it was necessary to take risks on several occasions.  There are also no tree branches to grab for emergency help.

More than 45 minutes have passed.  The way ahead is through the pine forest.  The ride on the dry pine leaves is terrifying.  The chances of escaping the risk of slipping are slim.  The decaying big trees have fallen across the road.

For those of us out of the pine forest, there is a tough challenge ahead.  The last few meters with 60-70 degrees end at the top of the hill.  Moisture makes the feet more slippery.  Can't go unless you grab a nearby branch or ground.

The mist joins hands with the fluffy white clouds, creeping through the pine trees to proclaim the wonders of nature.  After more than an hour, we reached the top of Idalgashinna hill.
Hunger is on the rise.  We often tasted the biscuits we brought and enjoyed the beautiful scenery around us.  The harshness of the lovely tyrant has not yet been removed.  It does not seem to melt or melt for us.  Everything feels blurred.
Expectations of seeing Beragala Kanda, Bambarakanda Falls, Samanala Reservoir and Namunukula Range are fading.  I dived into the faint dreams and stepped down, because there was still a long way to go.
Idalgashinna seems to have won over women.  On the way back we met two groups of women party.  At the moment of exhaustion and hunger, the need to taste an avocado that had been missed on the go was naturally aroused.
